The new RFL eXmux 3500 TDM/IP multiplexer provides a total substation communication solution, conveniently transporting legacy communication interfaces over high speed LAN’s with the latency and reliability required for protection relaying. The eXmux 3500 combines transport and terminal interfaces into one convenient platform, replacing the complexity of PDH and SDH levels and is capable of transporting 8 regular E1 links per node.
